Welcome to Bruce Liron Photography. It's difficult to know exactly what to put on the front page of a website, i've had several goes and hopefully have it right this time! At the back of my mind remains a famous quotation by the 19th century writer Henry David Thoreau -"It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see" which I believe stands true for whatever image you may be attempting to capture. Personally documentary photography provides the greatest rewards and challenges.

My recent work is focused on aspects of Jersey life that make the Island unique, the below image has the classical backdrop of Mont Orgueil Castle. The lifting of Jersey Royal potatoes  on the cotils certainly seems back breaking work. Historically undertaken by imported labour, currently falling to Polish seasonal workers. Weather conditions are critical in realising high yields to obtain best market prices. Th UK market is the largest with some 30,0000 tonnes being exported annually.

Just a point of note in that ive found  image brightness can vary considerably depending on which browser you are using, Mozilla Firefox in particular does not represent colours in their true light.
